Lisa was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with High Distinction, major Finance, from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She then continued to law school and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1992.
Lisa began her law career in Nebraska at a general practice firm and became a partner after two years. She practiced in the areas of family law, plaintiff personal injury, and court-appointed criminal defense/juvenile law.
After seven years in Nebraska, Lisa moved to Seattle and was an associate at insurance company defense firms. In 2006, Lisa joined Liberty Mutual Group’s field legal division and practiced in the areas of personal injury, premises liability, wrongful death, and work-site injuries. For 16 years, she represented Liberty Mutual’s insureds at arbitrations, mediations, and trials, for individual and corporate insureds ranging from low exposure to high exposure on complex claims and was later designated a Senior Trial Attorney.
On October 3, 2022, Lisa joined SSFST. While she continues to practice insurance company defense, she is also practicing as a Special Assistant Attorney General defending tort claims against DCYF.
